About Us

Metropolitan University Law Clinic

Bridging the classroom and the courtroom since 2019 a student-run, faculty-supervised legal aid and clinical education initiative.

Our Mission

The Metropolitan University Law Clinic (MULC) was established to give law students practical, supervised experience in serving real clients while extending free legal aid to underserved communities across Sylhet. We believe legal education is incomplete without the discipline of real practice, and that access to justice should never depend on a person's ability to pay.

What We Do

Under the supervision of faculty advisors and practicing lawyers, our student volunteers conduct client interviews, draft legal documents, run community awareness camps, and represent the clinic in moot court competitions. The clinic also publishes a peer-reviewed law journal and hosts regular workshops on emerging areas of law.

Our History

Founded in 2019 by a small group of final-year law students and two faculty advisors, the clinic began with a single weekly legal-advice desk. It has since grown into a full clinical program with a standing committee, an annual national moot court competition, and a growing body of published research.
